Hey New York, I’m In You!

Or will be as of this time tomorrow.

Things.  Stuff.

Friday, 10/10/2014 – NYCC

5-5:45pm – TRIBUTE PANEL: BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER WILL ALWAYS KICK ASS

Location: Room 1A18

Description: Joss Whedon’s re-envisioned Buffy the Vampire Slayer changed the way we watched television forever — and kicked off a decade of reader hungry to stake their claim on the hottest books in paranormal fiction.  More than a decade after the final episode aired, we still can’t stop talking about Buffy and her kick-ass legacy.  After all, this is just one teenage girl against the world.  Granted, she’s pre-ordained, and she’s got all these handy super powers.  Her best friend is a total witch, and her boyfriends have enamel-plated baggage.  Even at its most wry, in moments of self-doubt and self-effacement, Buffy the Vampire Slayer brought pathos together with playfulness, and achieved true pop culture immortality.

Paying tribute to the Buffyverse at NYCC: Amber Benson, Thomas Sniegoski, Carol Goodman, Michelle Knudson, Hillary Monahan and Keith DeCandido.
